Day 1: Arrival in Leh – Acclimatization Day
Arrive at Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport (IXL). Upon arrival, our representative will greet you and assist with your transfer to the hotel. Due to the high altitude of Leh (approx. 11,500 ft / 3,500 m), it is crucial to spend the entire day acclimatizing. Rest and allow your body to adjust to the reduced oxygen levels. In the evening, a light walk around the hotel area is recommended. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.

Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing – Monasteries & Palace
After breakfast, embark on a local sightseeing tour of Leh. Visit the iconic Leh Palace, a former royal palace overlooking the town. Explore the beautiful Shanti Stupa for panoramic views of Leh city and the surrounding mountains. Visit the Spituk Monastery, known for its giant Kali statue, and the Magnetic Hill, a natural wonder. Conclude your day with a visit to Gurudwara Pathar Sahib and the Sangam (confluence of Indus and Zanskar rivers). Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.

Day 3: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La
After an early breakfast, begin your journey to Nubra Valley (approx. 4-5 hours drive) via the world-famous Khardung La Pass (17,582 ft / 5,359 m), one of the highest motorable roads. Upon arrival in Nubra, check into your camp/hotel in Hunder. In the afternoon, enjoy a unique double-humped camel ride amidst the sand dunes of Hunder (at extra cost). Visit the Diskit Monastery, famous for its towering Buddha statue. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 4: Nubra Valley Exploration & Villages
After breakfast, continue exploring Nubra Valley. You can visit the Panamik Hot Springs, a lesser-known but beautiful spot, or explore local villages like Sumoor or Turtuk (if time permits and depending on permits/accessibility). Enjoy the unique landscape, a blend of green oasis and arid mountains. Return to your camp/hotel in Hunder. Dinner and overnight stay in Nubra Valley.

Day 5: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok
After an early breakfast, proceed to the mesmerizing Pangong Tso (Lake) (approx. 5-6 hours drive) via the scenic Shyok route. The lake, famous for its changing shades of blue, extends from India to Tibet. Upon arrival, check into your camp near the lake. Spend the evening admiring the breathtaking beauty of the lake and its tranquil surroundings. Dinner and overnight stay near Pangong Lake.

Day 6: Pangong Lake to Leh – Return Journey
Wake up to the stunning views of Pangong Lake. After breakfast, start your return journey to Leh (approx. 5-6 hours drive). En route, you will cross the Chang La Pass (17,590 ft / 5,360 m), another high mountain pass. Visit the Thiksey Monastery, known for its resemblance to the Potala Palace, and the Shey Palace, a former royal residence. Continue to Leh. Dinner and overnight stay in Leh.

Day 7: Departure from Leh
After breakfast, check out from your hotel. Our representative will transfer you to Leh Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport for your onward journey, filled with incredible memories of your Classic Ladakh adventure.
