Day-wise Itinerary: Ashtavinayak Darshan 3-Day Pilgrimage
This 3-day spiritual journey takes you to all eight sacred Ashtavinayak temples across Maharashtra. Starting from Mumbai early in the morning, you will visit Varadvinayak, Ballaleshwar, Mahaganpati, Chintamani, Siddhivinayak, Mayureshwar, Vighneshwar, and Girijatmaj – each with its own unique legend and spiritual significance. The pilgrimage is designed for a divine experience with expert guidance, delicious meals, and comfortable stays.
Mumbai → Mahad → Pali → Ranjangaon → Alandi
Varadvinayak, Ballaleshwar & Mahaganpati Darshan
We will leave Mumbai early in the morning for Mahad, visiting Varadvinayak first – the temple where Lord Ganesha is believed to grant all wishes. After breakfast, we’ll head to Pali to honor Ballaleshwar, the only Ashtavinayak temple named after a devotee, and enjoy the Aarti ceremony. Following a delightful lunch, we will visit Ranjangaon to seek blessings from Mahaganpati, the Ganesha who defeated the demon Tripurasura. We’ll then travel to Alandi for a spiritual evening of Bhajan Kirtan and conclude the day with a restful night and dinner in Alandi.

Chintamani, Siddhivinayak & Mayureshwar Darshan
We start with a delicious breakfast before heading to Prati Balaji for a spiritual experience and a taste of Indian culture. Next, we’ll visit Golden Jejuri to seek blessings from Khandoba, followed by a journey to Moregaon to honor Mayureshwar Bappa. After enjoying a cozy lunch, we will proceed to Siddhtek for blessings from Siddhivinayak, then head to Theur for a darshan of Chintamani, before returning to Alandi for a delightful dinner.

Vighneshwar, Girijatmaj & Return Journey
We start our day with breakfast before heading to Ozar for Vighneshwar’s blessings, the Ganesha who removes obstacles. Next, we visit Lenyadri, the birthplace of Ganesha, enjoying the beautiful scenery and lunch. With fond memories and Bappa’s blessings, we return to Mumbai, reflecting on our wonderful journey through Maharashtra.

- Vighneshwar – Ozar: The Ganesha who removes all obstacles (Vighnas), one of the most powerful forms of Lord Ganesha.
- Girijatmaj – Lenyadri: The birthplace of Ganesha, located in a cave temple complex with stunning scenic views.

Ashtavinayak is a pilgrimage circuit in Maharashtra that encompasses eight sacred temples dedicated to Lord Ganesha. The word “Ashtavinayak” comes from the Sanskrit words “Ashta” (eight) and “Vinayak” (another name for Lord Ganesha). Each of these eight temples has its own unique legend, form of Ganesha, and spiritual significance. The pilgrimage is believed to bless devotees with prosperity, wisdom, and the removal of all obstacles. The circuit covers a distance of approximately 350–400 km, passing through the scenic landscapes of Maharashtra.

- Mayureshwar – Moregaon: The Ganesha who rides a peacock. It is one of the most revered Ashtavinayak temples and is believed to have been established by the legendary sage Mayureshwar.
- Vighneshwar – Ozar: The Ganesha who removes all obstacles (Vighnas). The temple is located near the Vaghjai River and is considered one of the most important stops on the pilgrimage.
- Girijatmaj – Lenyadri: The birthplace of Ganesha. The temple is located in a cave complex on a hilltop, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. It is believed that Goddess Parvati gave birth to Ganesha at this spot.

Helpful Information for Your Ashtavinayak Pilgrimage
Guests are advised to arrive at the designated pickup points at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time. Comfortable clothing and footwear are recommended for temple visits, as some temples require walking and climbing stairs. Carrying a water bottle, sunscreen, and a cap is advisable. Cameras and mobile phones may be restricted inside temple premises – please follow the temple rules. Darshan queues can be long during festive seasons; priority passes, if desired, can be arranged on the spot at an additional cost. The tour manager will assist with all temple visits, meal arrangements, and accommodation. Please carry a valid photo ID for hotel check-in purposes.
