Since motor vehicles are strictly prohibited inside Matheran, proceed to the main market area via horseback, hand-pulled rickshaw, or a scenic walk along the red dirt trails (or ride the toy train if operational). Check into your hotel and freshen up. In the afternoon, explore popular viewpoints including Louisa Point, Echo Point, and the peaceful waters of Charlotte Lake.
