Day-wise Itinerary: Shillong, Cherrapunji & Dawki Family Tour (5N / 6D)

This 6-day Meghalaya itinerary brings together the pine-scented capital of Shillong, the majestic waterfalls and limestone caves of Cherrapunji (Sohra), the crystal-clear waters of the Umngot River in Dawki, and Asia’s cleanest village, Mawlynnong.
Day 1: Guwahati to Shillong
Upon arrival at Guwahati Airport or Railway Station, our representative will greet you and drive you toward Shillong, affectionately called the Scotland of the East. En route, stop by the massive Umiam Lake (Barapani) to enjoy views of the pine-fringed hillsides. Arrive at Shillong, check into your hotel, and spend the evening exploring Police Bazar or relaxing with your family.

Day 2: Shillong Local Sightseeing

Continue to Ward’s Lake, the Don Bosco Museum of Indigenous Cultures, and the well-maintained Lady Hydari Park. Return to your hotel in the evening.

Day 3: Shillong to Cherrapunji

Upon reaching Cherrapunji, witness the iconic Nohkalikai Falls, the Seven Sisters Falls, and explore Mawsmai Cave. Check into your hotel for a relaxing evening amidst the clouds.

Walk to the nearby single-decker Living Root Bridge in Riwai or Tyrna for an unforgettable look at natural bio-engineering.

Later, visit Mawlynnong, recognized as Asia’s cleanest village. Walk through flower-lined pathways and check into your homestay or hotel in Dawki/Mawlynnong.
