Day 1: Arrival in Leh & Full Day Acclimatization Rest
Arrive at the Kushok Bakula Rimpochee Airport in Leh, where our driver will meet you and transfer you directly to your hotel. Since you are landing at an elevation of over 11,000 feet, you must spend the entire day resting completely inside your room. This initial downtime is critical to let your body adjust safely to the thin mountain air and prevent altitude sickness. Enjoy a quiet dinner at the hotel.

Day 2: Leh Local Sightseeing

Spend your evening exploring the vibrant walking streets of Leh Market for local crafts and souvenirs.

Day 3: Sham Valley Excursion
Following breakfast, embark on an excursion along the Leh-Kargil highway into the scenic Sham Valley. Stop at the Hall of Fame museum to learn about the region’s military history, and visit the historical Gurudwara Pathar Sahib. Experience the unique natural phenomenon at Magnetic Hill, where vehicles appear to roll uphill against gravity. Continue to the scenic Sangam point to see the clear blue waters of the Indus River merge with the muddy torrent of the Zanskar River.

Day 4: Leh to Nubra Valley via Khardung La Pass
Check out early from your hotel and drive toward the deep wilderness of Nubra Valley. Your route climbs over the famous Khardung La Pass, one of the world’s highest civilian motorable roads at 18,390 feet. Drop down into the valley to explore Diskit Monastery, featuring the iconic 106-foot tall Maitreya Buddha statue. Later, arrive at the cold desert of Hunder to view the stark sand dunes and enjoy a short ride on a native double-humped Bactrian camel.

Day 5: Nubra Valley to Pangong Lake via Shyok Route
After breakfast, proceed directly toward the world-famous alpine wonderland of Pangong Lake. Your journey follows the rugged mountain road cut alongside the beautiful Shyok River. Arrive at the high-altitude lake, sitting at roughly 14,000 feet on the Indo-China border, by afternoon. Spend the remaining hours walking along the vast shores, taking photographs, and observing the deep blue water shift shades as the evening sun dips behind the mountains.

Your vehicle climbs across the massive Chang La Pass, located at a towering 17,590 feet, where you can view vast snow-capped peaks. Arrive back in Leh by the late afternoon, check into your hotel, and enjoy your final evening at leisure for last-minute shopping or resting.
