Overnight Journey from Mumbai → Pandharpur

Arrive in Pandharpur early in the morning. After freshening up, proceed for the divine darshan of Lord Vitthal and Rukmini at the famous Vitthal Temple. This is one of the holiest sites in Maharashtra, attracting millions of devotees each year. After the darshan, enjoy breakfast and begin the journey to Tuljapur (approx. 5 hours). Upon arrival, check in to your hotel and proceed for the powerful darshan of Tulja Bhavani, the revered Goddess of the Maratha empire. Dinner and overnight stay in Tuljapur.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and proceed to Akkalkot (approx. 2 hours) to seek blessings at the Swami Samarth Samadhi and Swami Samarth Math. This is the final resting place of the revered saint Swami Samarth Maharaj, who is considered an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya. Later, continue the journey to Gangapur (approx. 1.5 hours) to visit the sacred Dattatreya Temple at the confluence of the Godavari and Kadva rivers. After the darshan, enjoy lunch and begin the overnight journey back to Mumbai.

Tuljapur is a sacred town in Osmanabad district, home to the famous Tulja Bhavani Temple dedicated to Goddess Bhavani. This temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas and holds immense significance in the Maratha history. Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj was a devotee of Goddess Bhavani and is believed to have received the famous “Bhavani Sword” from the Goddess here. The temple’s architecture is a blend of Hemadpanti and Maratha styles. The Goddess is depicted with eight arms, seated on a lion, and is revered as the family deity of the Bhonsle family and many Maratha clans.
Akkalkot – The Samadhi of Swami Samarth Maharaj
Akkalkot is a small town in the Solapur district, famous as the place where Swami Samarth Maharaj, an incarnation of Lord Dattatreya, spent the last 22 years of his life. The Swami Samarth Samadhi and the Swami Samarth Math are the main attractions here. Swami Samarth Maharaj was a wandering saint who performed numerous miracles and is revered as a spiritual master by millions of devotees. His teachings focused on the unity of all religions and the path of Bhakti (devotion). The temple complex also houses the sacred footprints of the saint, and devotees from all over India visit to seek his blessings.
Gangapur – The Confluence of Godavari and Kadva
Gangapur is a historic town located at the confluence of the Godavari and Kadva rivers in the Aurangabad district. It is home to the Dattatreya Temple, one of the most important shrines of Lord Dattatreya, who is considered the combined incarnation of Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva. The temple is believed to be the place where Lord Dattatreya appeared and granted boons to his devotees. The town also has a rich history dating back to the Satavahana and Yadav dynasties. Guests are advised to arrive at the designated pickup points at least 15 minutes before the scheduled departure time.
